Active Mining Claims

Since its establishment in 2012, GMEI has undertaken operational activities in the northern part of the Province of Ontario, Canada. The Company’s objective is to discover an economic orebody through its exploration activities on its mineral properties. The GMEI properties are located south of the town of Matheson, within the Larder Lake Mining Division, and the Kirkland Lake Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) District.

The GMEI properties consist of a 100% interest in 732 claim cells, in two non-contiguous blocks, being the Golden Target Project, and Defiance Project.

The project areas lie in a large geologic Archean craton, in the Superior Province of Canada. Within this craton, the projects are located in its Abitibi Sub-province, which is host to a remarkable concentration of metals in its southern corridor. Precious metals and base metals deposits in the region are prolific along the E-W trending Porcupine-Destor fault zone, and the Larder Lake-Cadillac fault zone, with combined historic production at about 200 million ounces of gold, which includes the world class Kidd Creek VMS deposit. Four past producing mines are located within 10 kilometres of the project area.

The Company’s Golden Target Project straddles an interpretive extension of the Golden Arrow Fault, which is a splay from the DPfz. The nearby Golden Arrow Mine has produced a total of 25,920 ounces of gold. **Recently acquired by Alamos Gold Inc. Some conductive zones may be associated with sulphides commonly associated with gold mineralization in the region.

The properties have been subject to exploration activities commencing as far back as the late 19th century, limited by the scarcity of outcrop, but nevertheless resulting in the discovery of a number of significant mineralized occurrences. GMEI’s strategic approach on the projects is supported by the historic results obtained on the properties, and by the mineral deposits in close proximity, whose geologic trends are interpreted to transect the property.

During the Fall of 2020, exploration activities included prospecting, locating additional historic showings, sampling, and conducting an airborne magnetic and electro-magnetic survey over part of the Golden Target Project. Of particular importance were the results of the airborne survey, which clearly demonstrates the bedrock structures. These structures appear to represent the Arrow Fault, where alteration, mineralization, and/or fault/shear zones and spatial relationships of some of the historic showings. Follow up work over these areas was part of the focus of the 2021 exploration campaign, and will continue into 2023-2024.

Access to the property is obtained via the Trans Canada Highway and Provincial Highway 11, onto an all- weather gravel road from which a variety of logging roads and trails transect the property.

The Company is currently focussing its exploration and development activities on the Golden Target Project, targeting orogenic gold deposits related to the prolific Destor-Porcupine fault zone metallotect.
